Coach
Lachlan Ford
Bachelor Of Sports and Exercise Science qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach
Introduction
I am relatively new to the fitness scene, beginning my time in the industry with Hammer Athletic in October of 2021. Alongside working at hammer, I am also employed with Queensland Cricket as a Schools sporting officer, traveling the region to coach and develop the cricket skills of kids around the region. Recently, I have also taken on a role as a Strength and Conditioning coach employed through James Cook university, working with different local sporting organisations that are interested in developing their talented athletes.
At the end of 2021, I completed my Bachelors of Sport and Exercise science, progressing on to begin a Research honours degree at the start of 2022. The research degree is centred around a periodised coaching approach to motor learning and skill development, in particular, looking at developing junior spin bowlers.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing cricket for western suburbs cricket club as well as the odd round of golf. I am also involved as a coach and manager for different junior representative sides around the North Queensland region.
